William apparently arrived in Stewart about 12 years before his death, c1924. He was employed, until recently before his death, as a Miner at the Premier Mine. Here is yet another tragedy in the history of Stewart. William met his death by drowning while mentally depressed according to the members of the Coroner's jury. He was buried on Oct 16, 1936. It was believed he had a relative at Wainwright, Alberta named A.M. Becket. This could be his older brother, Archie M. that was found on the 1891 census.
