He was a stillborn son of Rev. Walter Albee and his wife, Mary Fern Romberger. His condition was due to a difficult labor and he was the last child the couple had together.

One might wonder who was the informant for the child's death certificate, which incorrectly lists the father as George Albee born in Connecticut. Mary was still legally married to Walter Albee who was born in Pennsylvania. I do not believe she had yet become involved with George Lomas who was born in Connecticut.

The informant's name on the baby's death certificate is that of Laura Romberger. The child's mom had a mother named Anna Laura. The child also had a sister named Laura Romberger, who would have been barely in her teens at the time.

Why either Laura, and not the child's father? It may be that this child's father, an itinerant preacher, was on the road... or perhaps he had already left the family. By 1937 he had a new son with a new bride who was unaware of his bigamy.

Baby Boy Albee was laid to rest in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Philadelphia which was cleared out for a housing project, the burials moved to either Mount Peace or Lawnview. Mount Peace has confirmed that on July 7, 1951 he was moved to their cemetery.

The family was not wealthy and he never had a tombstone, either originally or after he was moved. He has always been in an unmarked "company grave", that is, a group.
