Faye was born May 19, 1929 in Cokeville, Wyoming. She peacefully passed away at home in Reedsport, Oregon with husband Ed by her side, on October 7, 2016 at the age of 87. She is survived by her husband, Ed Gardner of 48 years. For the past five years, he was her sole caregiver. Her family will be forever indebted by his loving and tender care.
She is also survived by sisters: LaVola Dunham and LaVerne Stanley; daughters: Sharon Luttrell, Marleen Nylander, Roxanne Yoga and Monique Kottoman. Grandchildren: Melanie, Monica, Rachel, Stephanie, Russel, Christopher, Anaelle and Leah, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death are her parents, Lathare and Daisy Hoopes, daughter Daleen Schelldorf, step-son Ed Gardner Jr. and brother Leonard Hoopes.
She held many jobs which included waitressing for Redwood Golf and Country Club, cashier for Gobles grocery store, LaFranchi Ranches, sorting and shipping potatoes. She accompanied and drove an 18-wheeler truck cross-country with her husband Ed.
She loved flowers, crocheting, sewing and traveling.
Private family services were held at Goble's Mortuary, Fortuna, California. She was laid to rest at Sunrise Cemetery, Fortuna, California.
