Arthur William Fathauer, 85, of 2200 N.Fairview Ave. died 8:13 am Wednesday Aug. 6, 1980 in Decatur Memorial hospital Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday in Brintlingers Pershing funeral home,with visitation 6 to 9 pm Friday. Burial will be in Macon cemetery. Memorials: Emmanuel Methodist church.
Mr.Fathauer was born in Boody,son of William and Caroline Fathauer. He was a farmer, was the oldest charter member of Emmanuel Methodist church, was past president and member of Macon county Farm Bureau.
He married Lucille F. Protor in 1938. Surviving are his wife, son,Dale W. of Danville, daughters, Mrs.Ron(Eunice) Christopher of Decatur, Mrs.Gerald(Lavina)Knackmuhs of Latham, brother, Ervin of Dalton City, sisters, Mrs. John(Nora) Boggs of Cerro Gordo, Mrs. Fred(Elsie) Harris of Moweaqua, six grandchildren. Two sisters preceded him in death.
