Mrs. Melba Jean Cantrell Watts age 84 of McMinnville, TN, died Saturday, October 22, 2016, at N.H.C. Health Care in McMinnville, TN. She was born January 18, 1932, in Warren County, TN, was a homemaker, a member of New Bybee’s Chapel United Methodist Church, the Women’s Ministry Group, and a member of the Midway Home Demonstration Club.

Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by parents Alford Lachlan and Vallie Martin Cantrell, a son Terry Fuston Watts, a daughter Rhonda Jean Watts Newby, and sister’s Nadean Taylor and Nadell Grissom.

Survivors include her husband Arnold Fuston Watts, son and daughter-in-law Timothy R. and Regina Watts, son-in-law Wendell Newby, daughter-in-law Denise Andrew, brother-in-law Jimmy Taylor, grandchildren Craig (Sadie) Newby, Shelley (Rusty) Smith, Ian Watts, Jakub Watts, Jaren Watts, Cole Newby and his fiancée Ashlyn Judkins, and Isabella Andrew, great-grandchildren Brooklyn Newby, Macie Kate Newby and Londyn Smith, and nieces Jan Taylor and Gail Caldwell.

A graveside service and interment will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 24, 2016, at New Bybee’s Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Wallace Caldwell and Rev. Tim Lewis will officiate. The Watts Family will receive friends Sunday from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. and again Monday from 8 A.M. until 10 A.M. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
