A former resident of Huntsville, Mr. Hudson resided in Batesville from 1977 until his move to Cleburne County in 1987. He retired from the United States Air Force after serving as a chief warrant officer with twenty-two years of service and was a member of the #14 Air Force Association of Flying Tigers and a lifetime member of the American Legion, V.F.W., and D.A.V. Mr. Hudson was also a retired real estate broker. He served on the Advisory Board of the White River Medical Center in Batesville, and he helped establish the medical clinic and bank in Drasco. Mr. Hudson was a member of the Huntsville Masonic Lodge #364, a 50 year member of the Sugarloaf Masonic Lodge #414, a member of the Royal Arch York Rite Mason #154 in Huntsville, and the Royal and Select Masters Council #77. He was a Scottish Rite 32nd degree Valley of Little Rock Orient of Arkansas and Commandry St. John's #036 of Huntsville Knights Templar. Mr. Hudson was a Past Patron of the Heber Springs Chapter #440 of the Eastern Star and Ruth Chapter #91. He was a charter member of the EOD Master Blasters. Mr. Hudson's religious belief was of the Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, J. D. Hudson; four sisters, Kate Hudson Walden, Hazel Hudson Taylor, Dixie Ruth Hudson Roberts, and Mary Hudson Peavy; and one grandson, Michael "Mickey" Meredith.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Lee (Jurcik) Hudson of Drasco; two sons, W. C. "Bill" Hudson of Drasco, and L. N. Hudson, III, and wife, Denise, of Springdale; one daughter, Kathryn Leah Hudson of Little Rock; two stepsons, Kevin Conley of Beebe and Kelly Conley of North Little Rock; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Hudson is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
