Luke E. Anderson, age 92, of Harrah, OK, was born on June 19, 1914 in Malta, TX. He was the son of Samuel T. & Pearl S. (Howard) Anderson. He left this life on December 19, 2006 in Shawnee, OK. On December 2, 1940 he married Lucille Haxton. Luke served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from Tinker AFB where he was an airplane mechanic. Luke also worked as a custodian at the Harrah First Baptist Church and Harrah Public Schools. He enjoyed farming, target shooting, whittling, gardening and being with family and friends. Luke was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lucille, 1 brother and 4 sisters. Survivors include 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Harold & Denise Anderson, Harrah, OK, Wayne & Earlene Anderson, Meeker, OK, Alvin & Karolyn Anderson, OKC, OK; 2 daughters & 1 son-in-law, Betty Swan, Blanchard, OK, Linda & Mike Stevens, Harrah, OK; 1 brother, Sylvester Anderson, Phoenix, AZ; 1 sister, Tilda Ree Howe, Chandler, AZ; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 22, 2006 at the First Baptist Church, Harrah, OK with Rev. Griff Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK.
