Mary Ann Rogers was committed for trial by J. H. Browne, Esq. charged with stealing from John Parker of Chickerell; money, notes and bills, to the value of nineteen pounds, twelve shillings, and six-pence - Warrant dated 27th September 1806.

Mary was convicted in the Dorset Gaol on the 12th March 1807 and sentenced to death reprieved. Mary was to be transported to Australia for life.

On the 18th May 1808, Mary sailed from Falmouth,England arriving in Sydney, New South Wales on the 15th November 1808 on convcit ship Speke.
