Valerie Lynn (Stockton) Marshall spent her entire childhood and early adult years in Mt. Vernon, MO., the daughter of Charles and Nancy (Williams) Stockton. She was a 1969 graduate of the Mt. Vernon High School and a graduate of the Wedgewood Beauty School in Springfield, MO. She married Roy Lee Marshal on Jan. 18, 1974, in Mt. Vernon. He was the son of William Marshall and Wanda Barker Marshall. Together, they owned and operated Four State Heat and Air. Roy preceeded her in death on Feb. 26, 2014. She was also preceeded in death by her parents, sisters Carol Spellman and Joyce Brown and brother, Darrell Stockton.

Valerie is survived by her son Gary Gene Stockton and daughter in law Penny, step-daughter DeAnn and husband Joe Green; six sisters, Alice Patton, Kaye Lester, Debbie Sifferman, Charlene Kristek, Connie Schmidt and Tracy Williams; two bothers, Gary W. Stockton and Butch Stockton many nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
Services were graveside at Monett IOOF in Monett, Lawrence Co., MO.
