Theresa was born on May 19, 1954 to the home of Albert A. Chávez Jr. and Carmen Velásquez Chávez.
Theresa grew up and attended school in Santa Rosa, NM. Therea married Gabriel Chávez on June 19, 1971.
They made their home in Bernalillo, NM. Theresa gave birth to twin boys, Gabriel and Larry Chávez. Theresa worked for the schools in Bernalillo and Santa Ana. Therea was a devoted wife and mother to her family.
Theresa was preceded in death by her baby boy, Gabriel, her parents, Albert and Carmen Chávez, her in-laws, Alfonso and Lucy Chávez and her sister, Susan Nelson.
Theresa is survived by her loving husband, Gabriel Chávez, son, Larry Chávez and his wife, Rebecca, her granddaughter, Brianna, brothers, Roy Chávez of Clovis and Santiago Chávez of Santa Rosa, sisters, Ruth Olsen of Clovis, Pauline Kadell of Amarillo and Joanna Chávez of Santa Rosa, her step-mother, Diana Chávez and many relatives and friends.
