Freddie Wayne Bowers was born the son of Leroy Bowers and Eulah Brazeal Bowers on January 19, 1947, in Thayer, Missouri, and departed this life on October 14, 2016, at his home in Thayer, Missouri, at the age of 69 years.

He was united in marriage on May 19, 1968, in Hardy, Arkansas, to Anna Case.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Bowers of the home in Thayer, Missouri; two sons, Scott Bowers and wife, Donna of Thayer, Missouri and Brad Bowers of Springfield, Missouri; two grand-daughters, Taylar and Kaycee Bowers of Thayer, Missouri; one brother, Harold Bowers and wife, Cathy of Knob Noster, Missouri and Betty Hull of Virginia; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Eulah Bowers; and one brother, Danny Joe Bowers.

Freddie was a veteran of the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War.

He was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. He owned and operated Bowers Refrigeration, Heating and Air in Thayer for many years and was known for his willingness to help anyone who needed help.

He loved to fish in both rivers and lakes, hunting and spending time with his family. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Chaplain David Langston officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 17, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer.

Burial will be in the Hurst Cemetery, near Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home in Thayer.
