Charles Kenneth “Peewee” Baker, 80, of Atkins, passed away Monday, October 17, 2016, at UAMS in Little Rock.

He was born December 27, 1935, in Atkins, son of the late Elbert and Estella Wilson Baker. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, the Atkins Lions Club, and the Atkins Planning Commission.

He served in the United States Air Force for 8 years.

He is survived by his wife, Joann Baker; daughter, Jennifer and husband James Miller; granddaughter, Chelsea Miller; and grandson, Kenny Miller.

Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 20, at Hopewell Baptist Church with Bro. Charlie Bird and Bobby Lane Pitts officiating. Burial is in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, at Lemley Chapel.

Pallbearers are Kenny Miller, James Miller, Grant Hall, Bobby Pitts, Ellis Gilmore, and Jason Beavers. Honorary pallbearers are J.C. Meisenheimer and Charles Drake.
