Darrell Scott Smith, 54, died Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, he graduated from Flathead County High School. Smith served in the US Air Force during World War II and then attended Montana State University and the National Radio School in Los Angeles. He and Patricia Ann Perry were married in 1950 at Cut Bank. He was a partner in the Cut Bank Ford dealership for 13 years, was active in ham radio and developed and sold an electronics communication system. At the time of his death, Smith was employed by the Bell Motor Company. He was an elder in the First Presbyterian Church. His wife survived with three daughters, Judy Sanderson, Missoula, Kathy Smith, Seattle, and Peggy Smith, at home; and his mother, Metta Smith, Cut Bank.
