JOHN Q. SMITH DIES AT AGE 72
John Smith, 72, retired logger, died yesterday in Kalispell.
A native of Fair Port, Mo., Mr. Smith came to the Flathead about 10 years ago. He had worked as a miner in Colorado and had been a farmer.
He is survived by five brothers, Bert and Frank Smith, both of Kalispell; William of King City, Mo.; Dr. A. J. Smith of St. Joseph, Mo., and Wade Smith of Fair Port, Mo.; four sisters, Mrs. Oliver But- (sic) Minnie Neil of Lexington, Ky.; Mrs. Rebecca Lincoln of Maysville, Mo.; and Mrs. E. C. Marit of Joplin, Mo.
Requiem high mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. William Malloy as celebrant. Burial will be in Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
Rosary will be recited today at 8 p.m. at Waggener & Campbell Chapel.
