WEST MONROE, LA - Services for Gladys Crain Monroe, 83, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday May 31, 1994 at Kilpatrick's West Monroe Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Harry Booth and Dr. Mark Strum. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. til service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Monroe died Monday, May 20 [sic 30], 1994 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. She was born and reared in Sikes, La. She was one of eleven children of Walter and Talitha Cumi Crain. Mrs. Monroe was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the Naomi Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, E. C. "Buck" Monroe.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-laws, Miller and Nelda Frey of Haynesville, LA, Kenneth and Beth Berry of West Monroe, LA, Bob and Gay Moody of Springhill, LA, Jim and Jan Harrison of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Carol Berry Waggoner, Nancy Fray Killgore, Sue Frey Killgore, Dianne Berry Greer, Cindy Moody Freeman, June Berry Tettleton, Kenneth Berry, Jr., Robert L. Moody, III, Christen Harrison Caton and Carl Harrison; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Roy Gaar of Gaars Mill, LA, Mrs. Hershel Kidd of Minden, LA, Mrs. William O. Byrd of Silver Springs, MD; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Billy Howard Kidd, Michael Strickland, Rand Killgore, Michael Waggoner, Steve Greer, Nicky Tettleton.
