Little did he know, his future wife came here in 1914. She was also from the same small village, but they did not meet until she came to this country.
They were married December 2nd, 1916 in St. Joseph's Lutheran Church in Braddock, PA.
They had seven kids together and lost one as an infant and were married for twenty one years up until her death in 1938.
He latter had his family help him around the house after the death of his wife. His oldest daughter, Ann, was the head lady of the house until she got married then it progressed until the last kid left the house.
His youngest child, Virginia or "Ginnie" got very ill early in life and became a bit of a brat as she never had to work because of her childhood illness. She lived with him up until he died.
