Hazel E. Brown, 79, North O'Neal Avenue, formerly of Dawson Springs, died 5:40 a.m. Sunday at New Dawson Nursing Home, Dawson Springs, of natural causes.
Services were this morning at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, with Eddie Beshear officiating and burial in Rosedale Cemetery, Dawson Springs.
A native of Cerulean, Mrs. Brown was born July 31, 1912, daughter of the late John Dave and Eleanor Messamore Croft. She was a member of First Christian Church, Hopkinsville. Her husband, William Homer Brown, Sr., died in 1976. A son, Lindell Wayne Brown, died in 1971, and a second son, Coy L. Brown, died in 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Homer Brown, Jr., Hopkinsville, and Clyde "Buddy" Brown, Danville; a foster daughter, Vickie Brewer, Louisville; a sister, Pauline Fletcher, Hopkinsville; and 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
