Homer Brown, Jr., 71, died at 4:35 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, Tenn. following a brief illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Thomas W. Eblen, Sawn Gee and the Rev. Dr. Howard Willen officiating. Burial will be in Princeton Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 tonight at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville.

A native of Dawson Springs, he was born Feb. 26, 1929, the son of the late William Homer Brown Sr. and Hazel Croft Brown. He was owner and operator of Brownco Products for 20 years and had been employed at Thomas Industries. He was a World War II Army veteran, was a past president and past vice president of Kentucky Western Waterlands, was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars and the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mattie Lou Brown; a daughter, Cindi; a brother, Buddy Brown, and three grandchildren.
