Funeral Services Held.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie Middleton, who died in Oakland, California, at the age of 72, were held at the Dauderman Funeral Home Saturday afternoon, Rev. Ronald Hickerson of the Greenville Christian Church officiating. Pallbearers were Ernst Bracy of Pana, Chas. Zellers of Greenville, Ed Zellers of Chester, George Howard of Troy, Allen Howard of Worden and Lester Manville. Two selections, "Rock of Ages" and "In the Sweet By and By" were sung by a quartet composed of Mrs. Herbert Gehrs, Mrs. J.A. Bisgen, Mrs. I. T. Maupin and Mrs. Earl Shepard. Mrs. Ivan Bunn was the accompanist. Interment was made in the Marine Cemetery. Mrs. Middleton was born February 12, 1868, in Deck's Prairie. At the age of 17 she was united in marriage to Joseph Middleton. Her husband preceded her in death six years ago. Seven children were born to this union, three of whom also preceded their mother in death. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ida Knox of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Frances Reeves, of Troy, Mo., and Mrs. Dolly Redford of Marine, one son, Dan Middleton, of Marine, four sisters, Mrs. Mary Manville of Marine, Mrs. Elvia Kinder of Chestnut, Ill., Mrs. Rhoda Schoreack of Maryville and Mrs. Cora Aldrup of Worden, 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
