She retired from Clear Creek Independent School District as a bus driver. Our beloved “Memaw” enjoyed dancing, gardening, cooking for her family, and fishing at Toledo Bend.
Billie Dee was born on July 2, 1942 to Alta Mae and Carl Dee Bishop in Abilene, Texas.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, step-father, Jack Johnson, late husband, Ruben Matamoras, son, Ruben (BoBo) Matamoras, and brother, Kevin Johnson.
Billie is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Matamoras and Valerie Matamoras; sisters, Nancy Daily, Jackie Taylor, and Sheila Johnson; brother, George Johnson; grandchildren, Monic Westbrook, and her husband, Donald, Felicia Barrientes, Roxanne Williams, Maurice Matamoras, Michael Worthen, and his wife, Rachael, Rey Robles, Felena Matamoras, Ruben Matamoras Jr., David Hatcher, and his wife Lori, Savannah Hatcher, Susanna Hatcher, and Katrina McCuen. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm on October 18, 2016 at Greater Life Church, 1655 FM 528, Webster, TX 77598.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Greater Life Church.
