Mr. John Frank Cuthbertson, 74, was born September 17, 1941 in Rowan County to Wyatt Cuthbertson Sr. and Rosetta Cowan Cuthbertson.

He graduated from R.A. Clement High School in Cleveland, and worked at Duke Power for 19 years until he retired.

He then started his own business, Father & Son Remodeling Company, and B & J Janitorial Service.

He also managed rental property. Even though he didn't keep doing all of these ventures, he did continue to do his passion, which was his remodeling business.

He joined the Ambassadors for Jesus Christ Church in 1980 under the leadership of Founder and Overseer Mary B. Montgomery, where he has served as National Head Trustee and a member of the Executive Board, and locally Head Trustee in Cleveland, N.C., which he built from the ground up.

He wasn't just faithful in his church. He was also a dedicated Past Master of the Mason's Faithful Guide 376 PHA, and also the Eastern Star Omega Chapter.

He was founder of the singing group, The Faith Spiritual Singers, and he also started a baseball team.

John loved his family and being with people. His hobbies were eating ice cream and playing with his great-grandchildren. He loved watching Gun Smoke and Family Feud. He was a man that loved working with his hands.

On September 13, 2016, he passed away following a brief illness at Wake Forest Medical Center, Winston Salem NC.
