Roger was born in Detroit, Mich. on December 9, 1941 and passed away peacefully at his home in Lincoln on October 5, 2016 following a short battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Talmage Burnett.
He is survived by his mother; brother and his wife. He is also survived by his three children Roger was a grandfather.
Roger started his career in law enforcement with the Lincoln Police Department in 1967. In 1970, he joined the Placer County Sheriff's Office where he served the community as a Deputy Sheriff for 33 years. Because of Roger's duty and honor, the world was a better place.
A Color Guard Military Service at Sacramento National Cemetery in Dixon will be announced at a later date.
