Funeral services for Clara B. Bryant, 72, of Lorain, who died Monday morning at Lorain St. Joseph Hospital after a one week illness, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Tower Baptist Church, Lorain. The Rev. Chris Hughes, pastor, will officiate.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst. Mrs. Bryant, who was born in Maryville, Tenn., had been a Lorain resident for 33 years. She was formerly employed five years as a housemother at the Green Acres children's home in Oberlin. She was a member of Tower Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bryant is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles C.; sons, Harold of Orlando, Fla., Wayne of Lorain; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Diana) Maderia of Amherst; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brothers, Walter Atterson of Seffner, Fla., Robert Atterson of Muncie, Ind.; sisters, Ruby Bryant of Sparta, Tenn., Opal Corder of Clinton, Tenn., and Nina Oakes of Crossville, Tenn. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Lorain.
