Barber, 82 years old

Funeral services for William N. Barber of northeast of Orrick were held Friday morning at 11 o'clock, at his home. He died Wednesday morning after an illness of nine months.
Barber, 82 years old, had been a Ray County resident all of his life. He was born in this county on January 4, 1856, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Travers Barber. On January 24, 1878, he married a Ray County woman, Miss Eliza White, who preceded him in death.

Those surviving Barber are four sons, James Barber of Mayview, Mo., Ralph and John Barber of Orrick, and Clarence Barber of Richmond; two daughters, Mrs. Rose Bellis and Mrs. Alta Vance of Orrick; two brothers, Harver Barber of Richmond and Arthur Barber of Orrick; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Allison of Rayville; and 28 grandchildren.
Burial was in South Point cemetery. C. V. Gibson and Son Funeral Home of Orrick was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
