Obituary:
Evelyn Joan (Cochran) Baldwin, 82 of Toppenish, went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2016. She was under the care of Sunnyside ICU hospital and surrounded by her family. She was born September 05, 1934 in Oklahoma City, OK to Arlie & Mary Epperson. Evelyn loved her Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and was so proud of all they have accomplished. She loved when they came to visit. She was a hard worker. Jobs were from ironing for others, selling ice cream from a ice cream truck, picking fruit, warehouse work, grocery store clerk and for Yakima Bait Company and other various jobs. When she was young, she & her sisters would go to the radio station on Sunday morning and sing gospel songs before Church. One of the things she loved to do was crochet afghans, baby blankets, table clothes, and doilies for others, just to name a few.

She was married to Billy Cochran Sr. on January 08, 1953. They were married 35 years. She later married Gerald “Sug” Baldwin in 1984. She is survived by her children, Gary (Patty) Brotherton of Oklahoma, Bill (Becky) Cochran Jr. of Granger, Jimmy (Brenda) Cochran of Yakima, Debra Ashby of Toppenish, Mary (Max) Milton of Zillah, Patricia (Albert) Simmons of Idaho Falls, ID and Ricky Cochran of Mountain Home, ID. As well as 27 Grandchildren, 59 Great Grandchildren & 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Siblings, Alfred “Son” Epperson, Mary “Sis” Flynn, Betty (Al) Wilson, Ruth Nolin, Richard Epperson and Martha Huffman, all of Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her Parents, 2 Brothers and 2 sisters, her husband Gerald, and her great Grandson Ethan Wells.

Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 12:00 to 8:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, WA. Graveside Service will be Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 10:00 am at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA
