Miss Brown, a native of Bibb County, had lived most of her life in Wilkinson County and was a Baptist and a senior at Wilkinson County High School.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shelton of Carrollton; father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Brown of Gordon; two brothers, Tommy Brown and Alan Brown, both of Gordon; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. West of Macon; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Molton of Gordon; and stepgrandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Hardie of Gordon.
Williams Memorial Chapel of Gordon was in charge.
