Mary Ann Kiefer, 80, a res­i­dent of Head­land passed away Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 4, 2016 at Elba Nurs­ing and Re­hab in Elba, Al­abama.

Fu­neral ser­vices will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sat­ur­day, Oc­to­ber 15, 2016 at St. Columba Catholic Church Chapel . Bur­ial will fol­low at Sun­set Memo­r­ial park with Robert Byrd di­rect­ing. The fam­ily will re­ceive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Fri­day at the fu­neral home.

Mrs. Kiefer was born April 29, 1936 in Beech­wood, Wis­con­sin and spent the early part of her life there. She mar­ried the late Ray­mond J. Kiefer in 1954 and they resided in West Bend, Wis­con­sin for the next 23 years. They moved to Dothan, Al­abama in 1977, to Tuc­son, Ari­zona in 1987, and then to Tar­boro, North Car­olina in 1990. Fol­low­ing her hus­band's re­tire­ment, they moved to Head­land, Al­abama in 1993. She en­joyed sewing, hand em­broi­dery, cook­ing for her fam­ily, and gar­den­ing. She was a mem­ber of St. Columba Catholic Church.

She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents, the late Leslie and Edna En­gel­mann of West Bend, Wis­con­sin, and her hus­band of 60 years, Ray­mond J. Kiefer.
