CAROLYN "Sue" CAVE
67, of Springfield passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016. She was born on October 28, 1948 in Havana, Illinois, the daughter of Frank V. and Anna M. (Howell) Hammett, Sr. Sue was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Urbana, and she loved going out in ministry and talking to people about Jehovah. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and doing Search-A-Word puzzles.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Donald G.Cave; four children, Louanne Elliott, Cherie L. Cave, Rhonda (Tim) VanDorn, all of Urbana and Ronald G. Cave of Atlanta, GA; one granddaughter, Alexandria (Chris) Gahn; brother, Robert "Bob" (Yvonne) Hammett of Springfield; sister-in-law, Laura Hammett and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank V. Hammett and James L. Hammett and her parents.
