Born in Miami on April 5, 1954, he attended Wyandotte Public Schools (Class of 1972) and graduated from OSU in 1977. He taught school in several Oklahoma towns, including Frederick, Oklahoma City, Warr Acres and Putnam City. He loved working with young people and was proud of the teaching profession.
He is survived by his mother, Mellie Sanders of Perry, Oklahoma; three sisters, Dee Ann Sanders of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Jana Thomason and Sara Grossman both of Edmond; two brothers, Terrell Sanders of Edmond, and Robert Sanders of Perry, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Sanders, his father, Robert Sanders, and sister Lisa Marie Hoeppner.
He and his son will be interred following a memorial service at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Delaware County, on October 22, 2016.
