Mrs. Azzlee Sapp Dubberly, 88, passed away early Saturday morning, December 16, 2006, at the Satilla Regional Medical Center following a short illness.
A native of Pierce County, she had lived in Ocala, Florida for forty-two years before moving back to Pierce County in 1981. Mrs. Dubberly was a retired housemother with the State of Florida Prison System; was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and was also a member of the Pierce County Quilting Club. Mrs. Dubberly was preceded in death by her parents, James Franklin & Jesse Smith Sapp; her husband, Thurman Dubberly; a daughter, Jesse Claudette Keeton; a grandchild, Patrick Davis; a great grandchild, Anthony Sizemore; all 3 of her sisters and two of her brothers. Always pleasant and kind, Mrs. Dubberly was one of those unique individuals who was simply loved by everyone.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dubberly will be held Tuesday morning, December 19, 2006, at 11:00 o'clock from the Bethel Baptist Church.
Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Dubberly will be held Monday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dubberly will lay in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
