Early Life: Don was born November 5, 1930, in Dodge City, Kansas, to Jerald Eugene and Nellie Moser Bybee. He was raised on the family farm in Springville, Utah. He graduated from Springville High School in 1949 and was the varsity high school quarterback.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Don loved adventure, laughter, and living life to the fullest. He was a real charmer. He served an LDS mission in Australia from 1950 to 1952. After studying Business at Brigham Young University, he pursued a career in radio broadcasting with the Bonneville Corporation. Don excelled there and became general manager at KSL Radio in Salt Lake City, and eventually president of Bonneville's Midwest Division. He passionately enjoyed people, fishing, hunting, and visiting the family cabin at Bear Lake. Don later served LDS missions with his wife, Esther Rae, to the Christmas Islands, Family History Center in St. George, and the Red Cross Disaster Relief in Louisiana and Texas. Donald Eugene "Don" Bybee, of Springville, Utah, passed away peacefully at home on October 5, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. He was 85.
Survived By: His wife, Esther Rae; his children: Tracy Bybee, Todd Bybee (mother: Barbra Joann Waite); Diana (David) Davis, Robert (Julie) Bryner, Jerry (Lydia) Bryner, Heather Bybee (Eric) Elmburg, Jennifer Bybee (Brian) Sizemore, and Suzie Bybee (Jamie) McKenzie (mother: Anna Louise Armstrong); Mark (Suzy) Morgan, Mike (Susan) Morgan, Scott Morgan, Marty (Lydia) Morgan, Max (Becky) Morgan, Monty (Natalie) Billie (mother: Esther Rae Bybee). He is also survived by his brother, Craig Bybee, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceded In Death By: His parents and siblings: Marie Dean Aplanalp, Larry Bybee and stepson: Matthew (Michelle) Morgan.
