MRS. JOHN OLSON OBITUARY
Mrs. Lyda Estella Olson died at her home near Rosevale, Nebraska, September 18, 1916 at 12:10 am aged thirty seven years, five months and fourteen days, after suffering patiently four weeks with abscess of the stomach.
The funeral services were conducted by the pastor of the M.E. Church of that charge, Rev. F. L. Johnson, at the home of the deceased on Thursday, September 21 and the remains were laid to rest in the Ord cemetery.
The deceased, who was the daughter of W.H. Coons, an old soldier and early settler of Broken Bow, who afterward moved to Butler county, was born April 3, 1877. She was united in marriage to John Olson December 18, 1894 in Cherokee county, Kansas. They soon removed to Nebraska where most of their happy life was spent in the joy and comfort of home and family.
A father, mother, a sister and two brothers, with husband and four children are left to mourn the loss of a loved one.
She was a faithful wife, a true mother and a faithful christian and dearly loved by many friends and neighbors. She was a member of the M.E. Church having been converted about six years ago.
