Our Father, Paul Webster Flint, graduated from this life on February 22, 2013 . He began his turn on earth on February 20, 1930! After being diagnosed with cancer he looked forward to the end of his life as a "Graduation" where he would be united with his parents Josie Juanita Webster and Leonard Spencer Flint.
Dad graduated from Davis High School. He married his high school Sweetheart, Deanna Lou Barton on June 4, 1947, sealing their love eternally in the Salt Lake Temple.
His love and special gift with flowers began at Miller Floral Company in Farmington working with his father-in-law, Golden John Barton. From that beginning, came Flint Floral and Nursery then Kaysville Floral and Gift, followed years later by Flint Greenhouses and Mountain States Plants in Layton, West Point and also Buhl Idaho. These past few years he returned to his love of growing beautiful flowers and hanging baskets with the Flint Garden Center where his flowers have decorated the yards of homes throughout Utah.
We as his children have each had the opportunity to work beside him, developing skills and talents and our own love of flowers. How blessed we have been to have our father as our teacher.
Dad had a great love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and spent 18 months serving with Mom in the Perth Australia Mission.
We his children Danna Lee (Ron) Wright, Paulette Behunin, Patricia (Mark) Etherington, David (Judy) Flint, Bart (Valery) Flint, Mary Ann (Tracy) Fifield, and Jill (Alan) Jaynes will all truly miss our dad as we continue to live by his example.
He follows in death his parents, his brothers Donald, Glen, Allen, sister Faye, and two grandchildren, Brian Paul Etherington and Barton Paul Flint.
He leaves behind our mother who has treasured the years she has spent with our Dad, his sister Lucille and brothers Calvin and L. Jay. His memory will live on with 45 grandchildren and 80 great grandchildren.
We will miss you Dad and look forward as you did to our own "Graduation" day when we will all be together again!
A ceremony of his life will take place on Thursday, February 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church, 2120 west Gentile Street, Layton Utah. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Myer's Mortuary, 250 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton and Thursday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
