Mr. Starling served his county in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was a Mason. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing duplicate bridge and spending time with friends in his neighborhood. He graduated from High Point College in North Carolina in 1972 with an A.B. degree in Psychology. He worked for many years in the clothing manufacturing business. He worked in manufacturing and production for Wrangler Jeans and was the director of quality assurance for the GAP, he was also an Expatriate for the GAP living in the Dominican Republic and in Mexico. He also worked as the Quality Director for Garron Industries and was the Manager of Quality Assurance and Testing for private brands for Dillard’s when he retired in May of 2015.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 8th, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 West 12th Street in Little Rock. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home.
