Mr. Kieffer was born in Clark County, Ohio, and came with his family in a covered wagon to this county when he was 16 years old. For more than fifty years he was engaged in the contracting and building business in this city. He was one of the oldest members of the First Presbyterian Church and was a trustee at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Emma; four children, Otis A. and Ella of Robinson, Lawrence of Cleveland and Chester of Loraine, Ohio; two brothers, Elmer and William of Springfield; and three grandchildren, Raymond, Jeanette and Frances.
