Conrad was the father of Mary, John, William, Bertha, Charles, (twins) Else and Edith, and Albert Laufersweiler.
He founded Laufersweiler Funeral Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa in 1856; which is still under family ownership.
He is the grandfather of Hotelier, Conrad Hilton.
