Rev. Bessie Mae Taylor 84, of Frankfort, IN died on December 16, 2006 at 9:28 am, in St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital. She was born on February 21, 1922 in Martin County, Indiana, the daughter of John Carroll and Ida (Gilliatt) Carroll. She married Rev. Francis A. Taylor on June 16, 1947 in Colorado Springs, CO. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2003. Rev. Taylor was an ordained Minister in the Wesleyan Church. She taught at the Immauel Missionary School in Colorado Springs and served with her husband in Covington, KY and Espon, IN with the Pilgram Holiness Church. The Taylor's then served as missionaries in Haiti and Guyana. Upon returning from South America they served at the Ash Street Wesleyan Church in Tipton and the Mt. Hope Chapel Wesleyan Church in Michigantown, IN. Rev. Taylor graduated from the Columbus High School in Columbus, IN and attended Immanuel Missionary School in Colorado Springs, CO. Services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Bible Holiness Church with Dr. Steven Emery officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday at Goodwin Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Taylor will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Frankfort, IN. Memorials may be made to: Latin American Missions with envelopes available at the funeral home.
