She also served on the board of the National Frozen Food Association and the International Food Service Manufacturers Association. She formerly worked for the Eastman-Kodak Company for six years, resigning as Midwest territory manager.
She graduated from the University of Michigan in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
She is survived by her father and stepmother, Robert C. and Betty Jean Awrey of Farmington; mother, Thais J. Awrey, sister Lisa and brothers Tom and John Awrey.
