Betty Myers, 87, of Urbana, formerly of Atwood, died at 10:52 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 28, 2016) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Betty was born on May 8, 1929 in Long Creek Township, Illinois, the daughter of Sam and Minerva Turner Gulley.

Survivors include her son, Jim (Ruth Ann) Williams; a grandson and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Connie Williams; seven brothers, Freeman, Ray, Rue, Dan, Don, Lynn and Dale Gulley and two sisters, Virginia Mulvaney and Janice Davis.

Betty formerly worked as a nurse's aide at the Champaign County Nursing Home and as a private-duty nurse for many years.
