Shirley Paul (Price), 77, of Marshalltown passed away after a long fight with Multiple Myeloma in the comfort of her own home with her family by her side on Tuesday September 27th, 2016.

Staying true to Shirley’s wishes cremation rites will be set and a memorial gathering will be arranged at a later date by the family.

Shirley was born on August 1st, 1942 to John and Helen Price in Albion, Iowa. She would receive her education through the Albion School System and graduate with the class of 1960. She would go on to meet a handsome young man by the name of Richard Paul and the two would soon be married. The couple raised three children in their house in rural Laurel.

Shirley was a wonderful cook and used that ability by working as the head chef at the Sears building in California for six years. After moving back to Iowa she was the head chef at Vila Del Sol Nursing home for many years and loved every day that she was able to work. When Shirley found some free time in her busy life she enjoyed the calmness of sewing and quilting.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Richard Paul, sons, Dennis Michel of Arizona, Curtis Lynn of Idaho, and Steven Richard of Clemons along with six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents John and Helen, brothers Ralf and Larry, and step-father Charles Smith.
