Perry Thomas Lewellen, 37, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 3:30 Wednesday morning at his home at Taylorsvflle. He had not been ill previously and awakened with the attack shortly before his death. A physician was called, but Mr. Lewellen died before he arrived.

Mr. Lewellen was a general contractor and was well known in the Taylorsvllle community. He was born March 24, 1907, the son of Henry and Mollie Lewellen. His father died when he was quite young and his mother was married again to Frank Rhude, both of whom have preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife and a step-son, John Tague; a brother, Samuel Lewellen of Columbus; two aunts and an uncle, Mrs. Nelson Smith, Mrs. Chase Bennett and Andy Lewellen, all of this community.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Taylorsvllle Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Ray Bozell, and burial was made at Springer cemetery.
