Robert (Bob) Edward Taylor, 95, died peacefully on Sept. 21, 2016, of natural causes. Bob was born Sept. 11, 1921, in Gunnison, Utah, the son of Alfred Christenson and Elizabeth Cunliffe Taylor. He graduated from Granite High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the U. of U. He married Margaret Mary Hedin on June 30, 1945, in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of five children.

During WWII, Bob served as a Captain in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, boating and camping with his family. He loved to go for firewood in the Uinta Mountains. He bred Appaloosa horses. He was very good at fixing things and working with wood. In his later years, he built and gave away birdhouses and hundreds of children's step stools.
Bob was a devoted member of the LDS Church. He served a mission to the New England States. He spent many hours in service to others and would often drop everything to help someone in need.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret; their children Robert L. (Cyndi), John W. (Linda), Cathryn M. (Dennis) Bird, Susan C. and Mark H. (Rozann); 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Helen and Norma.
Funeral services will be held Wed., Sept. 28, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the Wasatch 3rd Ward, 3625 E Doverhill Dr. Friends may call at the Mt. View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 E 7800 S, Tues., Sept. 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. before the funeral at the 3rd Ward Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the General Missionary Fund.
