Ellen, born in Choctaw OK, on Aug. 24, 1916 to parents Forrest and Hattie Lundy was one of 8 children. She lived, worked, loved, and raised her family in Choctaw where she enjoyed gardening, painting, quilting, and many creative projects. In later years, she handmade a beautiful collection of porcelain dolls that fills an entire room. She was an amazing cook and we will miss her pies and Christmas candy! She loved to fish at Lake Texoma and fried fish for the family many times.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard of 66 yrs, son Freddie, daughter Sheila, and brothers, Forrest, Bill and Pete. She is survived by son Bob, wife Mary Ellen, OKC; grandson Russ Anderson, wife Stacie and great grandson twins, Luke and Landon, Denton TX; grandson Rik Deaver, wife Miriam, children, Aarika and Aaron, Sanford NC; and grandson Tom Deaver, OKC. She is also survived by siblings, Ester, Floyd, Kenneth, Cleta, and sister-in-law Helen. Her, son, grandsons, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters.
Her family thanks the 'Angelic Family Hospice' for their loving and selfless support during Ellen's final days.
Services will be held on December 19, 2006 at Hibbs Funeral Home, Choctaw OK, and interment at Swartz Cemetery.
