Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Aunt, Ollie Mae (Ellis) Mayo, 103, went to be with her Lord on September 15, 2016 near Houston, Texas. She was born to William and Margaret Rawlins Ellis on September 29, 1912 in Victoria, Louisiana. She was a resident of Eureka, California for most of her life.

She married the love of her life Smead Mayo, February 2, 1935 in Hope, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on May, 11, 1987.

Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Ralph Mayo, Sisters: Estelle Ellis, Irene Turner, Inez Mayo, Gladys Frizzell, Pearl Kitchens.. Brothers: Sidney, George, Clarence, Earl and Percy Eugene Ellis,

She is survived by a son James Richard Mayo and wife Lorin of The Woodlands, Texas, Grandchildren: Shannon Ayers, Jennifer Mayo, James David Mayo, Anna Mayo, Amy Mayo, Judson Roach, and Bradley Roach. Great Grandchildren, Grayson Ayers, Abby Ayers, Maddy Mayo, Brooklyn Mayo, Bailey Mayo, Sam Roach and Casey Roach, . And many nieces and nephews,

She will be greatly missed by all and forever remembered as she so dearly touched and impacted all she knew and loved. And with much hope we anticipate seeing her again and joining her with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

There will be a short ceremony at Ocean View Cemetery on September 27, 2016.
