Mrs. Marie Fuchs, 79, Riverside, Calif., formerly of Greeley, died Monday, Feb. 18, at Riverside.

She was born Nov. 27, 1905 to Conrad and Elizabeth (Goodman) Eckhardt in Russia.

On April 6, 1926, she married John Fuchs.

Mrs. Fuchs came to the United States from Russia in 1910. She moved to Greeley from Riverton, Wyo., in 1942, living there until moving to Riverside about 20 years ago. She was a housewife. Her husband died in 1964.

She was a former member of St. John's United Church of Christ at Greeley.

Survivors are a daughter, Mary Jane Grossman of Cucamonga, Calif.; two sons, Wilbert of Riverside, and Duane of San Bernardino, Calif.; and a sister, Millie Hahn of Bridger, Mont.

Also surviving are seven brothers, Conrad Eckhardt, William Eckhardt, Benjamin Eckhardt, and Dan Eckhardt all of Billings, Mont., Sam Eckhardt and Robert Eckhardt, both of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Carl Eckhardt of Apache, Arizona; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 am Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley.

Macy Allnutt Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
