When Susanna Clark was born about 1722, her father, Joseph, was 26. She married David Hatfield about 1746, in Essex County, New Jersey. They had nine children in 18 years. They had 9 proven children during their marriage: William; Susanna; David, the Elder; Joseph; John; Abraham; Margaret, the Elder; Margaret, the Younger; and David, Jr or the Younger. She died in October 1801 having lived a long life of 79 years.
