THe oldest child of Henry Clay Brittingham & Sarah "Sallie" Peyton James Lucretia Rodgers, Etta m. 1) Unknown MCrory ca. 1894 and had issue: Roy Donald McCrory (Jan 1895). She was on the 1900 Census in Memphis as Etta McCrory. She m 2) Albert V. Martin, musician, & was on the 1910 Memphis Census as Etta Martin, wife of Albert Martin. Her death Certificate lists Forest Hill Cemetery as place of burial.

Obituary:
Services for Mrs. Etta Martin, wife of Albert V. Martin, Memphis musician, who died at 7:25 yesterday morning at her home, 384 Edith, will be held at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon at National Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. She was 73. Mrs. Martin, who suffered a broken hip in a fall at her home two years ago, had been confined to a wheel chair the past year. She was an Episcopalian. In addition to her husband, she leaves a son, Roy D. McCrory of Muncie, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Colsher and Mrs. Helen Reberg, both of Memphis, and a brother, S.H. Brittingham of Duran, Miss.
