Dale Owen "Doc" Christensen
January 13, 1937 ~ September 20, 2015

Dale Owen "Doc" Christensen quietly passed away at his home Tuesday, September 20, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. With resolute determination he courageously and faithfully endured a lifetime of health issues and challenges. He and mom were the beneficiaries of many "tender mercies" from our Savior.

He was born January 13, 1937 in Ogden, Utah to Ervin and Violet Wilcox Christensen. The day following his graduation from Weber High, he married his high school sweetheart Joyce Alberts on May 27, 1955 in the Logan, Utah Temple.

Dale was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was not one to preach a sermon but was one who lived a sermon. His occupation was farming, his hobby was farming and his passion was farming. His last aspiration after finding out he had terminal cancer was to be able to harvest his wheat crop. He enjoyed the simple things of life. He loved his family, he loved to hunt (especially pheasants and chukars) and enjoyed fishing, spending time at his cabin and doing mom's never ending honey do's.

Dale is survived by his sweetheart Joyce, 3 children, Kim (Rae Ann) Christensen, Neil (Peggy) Christensen, and Susan (Michael) Valaer, 7 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, a sister Peggy (Eldean) Holliday, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Lloyd, and 4 sisters, Lillian, Leola, June and Norma.

Our heartfelt thanks goes out to doctors Gary Christensen, Cory Ferguson, and Michael Scheuller, and Ashlee from lntermountain Home Care for their tender care.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Park Ward Chapel, 5601 S. 6100 W., Hooper, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held Monday, September 26, 2016 at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W. Roy, Utah, from 6 to 8 pm and Tuesday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment at the Hooper Cemetery.
