Obituary – Sarnia Observer
Suddenly and unexpectedly at his residence, Donald Ross Smith, on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, in his 61st year. Loving husband, best friend and soul mate of Jannice Smith. Dear son of Ann Smith and the late Orval Smith of Sarnia. Dear brother of Linda Stapleton and her husband Doug of Bright's Grove, and Cathy Cook and her husband Dennis of Sarnia. Uncle to Christopher Stapleton, Carolyn Cook, and Jeremy Cook.
Donald also leaves behind many extended family members.
Donald was the President and CEO of Glasgow Manufacturing Laser Sales; a member of the Plunkett Foundation, the Strathroy Hospital Foundation, the Strathroy Fair Board; an inspector for the Canadian Sport Horse Association; past member of the Ontario Harness Horse Association and the Canadian Trotting Association; Past President of the Ontario Water Well Association. Family and friends were an extremely important part of Donald's life. He also had a life long love of raising, racing and showing horses.
Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, Wonderland Road North, London. Cremation with interment at a later date.
