BELLEVUE, June 27 -- (Special) --
Funeral services will be conducted Friday for Mrs. Laura Marie Stoltz, 63, who suffered a stroke late Monday. Death occurred at the family home at 1004 East Main-st.
A native of Wanatah, Ind, she was born there on March 25, 1876, a daughter of William and Augusta Kalies. She had been a resident of Bellevue for the past 30 years, and was preceded in death by her husband William, in 1932, one daughter, Louise Sullivan, in 1923 and a sister. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was active in the Missionary Society of that church.
She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Adeline Brubaker of Los Angeles, Calif.; one son, Carl, of Bellevue, three grandsons, who made their home with the deceased; three brothers, E. W. Kalies, of Ventura, Calif.; W. A. Kalies of Hammond, Ind.; and William Kalies of Bellevue, besides two sisters; Mrs. W. G. Holman of Gary, Ind., and Mrs. Charles Lucht, of Hammond, Ind.
Services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul E. Rempe officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue under the direction of the Harris-Smith Home.
